For better or worse, finding your next gig can frequently come down to who you know. Networking is a very important part of the job, but don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t come naturally.

I often get extremely anxious in these situations and am definitely pretty introverted compared to many others in the industry.

That said, my friends at the Sports Creative Community are hosting a meetup next week in New York City. It’s low-key enough that it’s not intimidating yet filled with tons of very impressive and accomplished people.
