This Sunday, I’ll be lining up to run the New York City Marathon. Running is something I’ve developed a deep love and passion for over the last 1.5 years and, while I’ll never win a race, I’m so proud. I used to be such a perfectionist and only liked doing things if I felt I could be great at them. But, running has been different. I’ve still put in the work to become a better runner, but I’ve taken on this hobby simply because I enjoy it.

In adulthood, it’s hard to attempt something “just because,” but I highly encourage this behavior. Running has made me a better person and a stronger communicator, but even if it didn’t, it’s something I enjoy — and that’s enough of a reason to keep going.
